01. The Three-Tier Gear Ladder
Every EU launch class climbs the same ladder: (1) campaign greens into rare blues at level 15–25, (2) farm-heavy uniques from level 30–40 dungeons (Bakarma / Spiritforge plate, Pathfinder / Shadow leather, Frostweave / Faith Guard cloth) into (3) the endgame BiS core: Guardian Decanus 7-piece PvE, Abyss Tier 4 5-piece PvP. Never sell your mid-tier set twice — enchant it, break it in, and only replace individual slots when the BiS piece drops.
02. Enchant Priority Per Class
Weapon first, always: a +10 weapon is worth more attack than four +10 armor pieces combined. After the weapon, enchant the chest and legs (highest HP / Damage Tolerance values), then the boots (move speed) and finally the jewelry — jewellery enchant rates are the worst in game and should stop at +5 until item score is maxed. Do not enchant PvP-resistance gear on PvE mains; keep it +4 as a buffer set.
- weapon +10: 1,000–1,400 extra Attack on BiS item — the biggest single-slot jump in the game
- Chest +10: +800 HP / +320 defense — second best slot to enchant
- Never enchant common (grey) higher than +3 — the scaling curve is fraudulent below blue
03. Where to Farm Each Set
Bakarma plate and Spiritforge uniques drop from the two 40-man raid instances unlocked at level 40. Pathfinder leather is a Fire Temple / Dark Poeta replacement set. Shadow Set assassin pieces drop from world elites at level 43; the chest is the single most farmed green in the first month so always list high. Faith Guard and Hymn Set come from the level-38 group quest chains — do these chains at 37.5 level so you respawn instantly to the quest giver.
- Build editor tip: plug your current gear into the editor and compare item score live — a +10 Spiritforge set is ~4,300 score, worth two weeks of Abyss grind
- The Abyss PvP set (5 pieces) shares slots with the PvE Decanus core — build both on the same character wallet
